
Coach Rousseau, after years of
coaching a championship high school team, the Los Angeles Sparks, (as the youngest coach to occupy the position at that time), 4 years as an assistant coach to Hall of Famer Tara VanDerveer at Stanford University,
and 9 years as head coach at Pepperdine University, Dr. Rousseau returned to the classroom to pursue a PhD in Human Systems Engineering at Arizona State University to develop ways to improve the influence of sports environments on the wellbeing and performance of coaches and players.
Dr. Rousseau coached us on Taking Care of M.E. (Mental and Emotional Wellbeing) First.

Dr. Pipe is an expert on mindfulness which is a skill set to increase the ability to experience being fully present, focused and alive. Mindfulness has important implications for resilience within and beyond the healthcare and higher education sectors.
During her presentation on Mindfulness and Wellbeing, attendees practiced mindful moments and learned how much 60 seconds of mindfulness can improve the rest of your day.

The Female Empowerment through Sports Panel Discussion by former Sun Devil student-athletes and moderated by ASU Clinical Assistant Professor and sports historian Victoria Jackson addressed the difficulties women face in sports, employment, and life. The panelists were strong women and demonstrated that perseverance is necessary for us to continue the struggle for Equal Rigths.
